How do I read newsgroup messages?

Click on the plus (+) sign or triangle next to the Newsgroup server icon in the folders pane of your Inbox. You will see the list of Newsgroups to which you subscribe. When you highlight a particular Newsgroup, the server downloads the headers of any new messages. You must be online to do this.

Once you have downloaded the headers, click a particular header in the top right hand pane of your Inbox. Its contents (or body) will appear in the bottom right hand pane. Double click a header to open the message in a new window.

If a posting has a series of replies attached, it forms a discussion called a thread. Click the plus icon, or the triangle, to see all the messages in a thread.

Clicking on the 'Next' button in the Toolbar will also take you to the next message in a thread, or the next new message. Holding down the 'Next' button will give you more detailed options.
