Windows CE Hand Held PC's are PC companion devices that you can connect to your PC or dial up and check your
mail on the move. Windows CE is a version of Microsoft Windows designed for portable and embeded systems.
Several companies, including HP and Philips make Windows CE based Hand Held PC's, you should check your
hardware suppliers web side for more details on your specific model of H/PC.
Remote Networking
First open 'Remote Networking' by tapping Start, Programs,
Communications and then Remote Networking.
Double-tap on Make New Connection.
Where you are asked to 'Type a name for the connection' enter Netscape Online
Tap the radio button for Dial-Up Connection.
Tap Next
From the pul-down list select your modem then tap Next.
In the 'Country' box, enter 44 in 'Area' enter 0845 and for
the 'Telephone number' you can enter either 3001815 or 0887444.
Tap Finish
Within 'Remote Networking' double-tap on Netscape Online. In the 'User Name' box enter your
Netscape Online Account Username in the form:
username@netscapeonline.co.uk
In the 'Password' box, enter your Netscape Online Account Password.

Tap Connect to make the connection.
Pocket Outlook Inbox
Double-tap on the Inbox icon on your Desktop.
From the Compose menu, tap Services then Options.
Tap the 'Services' tab and then the Add... button.
Double-tap Internet Mail.
You are asked to 'Enter a unique name:', type Netscape Online and tap Next.
In the 'Required' section:
From the 'Connection' pull-down list choose Netscape Online.
The 'POP3 Host:' will be either pophost1.netscapeonline.co.uk or pophost2.netscapeonline.co.uk.
Enter your full e-mail address as the 'User ID' in the form: username@netscapeonline.co.uk.
In the 'Password' field, enter your e-mail password.

In the 'Optional' section, enter your 'SMTP Host' as mailhost.netscapeonline.co.uk.
Tap Finish.
To collect your e-mail, from the Service pull-down menu, tap Connect.
Pocket Internet Explorer
From the View menu choose Options..., Tap onto the Auto Dial tab and from the
'Choose the Dial-Up Networking connection to be used to dial the Internet' box choose Netscape Online.
Tap OK
