Yes, you can download, install, and simultaneously use Netscape 7.0 without affecting previous installations of earlier Communicator versions of Netscape software. Communicator refers to any Netscape Navigator product with a version number less than 6.0. Installing Netscape 7.0 will overwrite earlier versions of Netscape 6 unless you choose to save it in a separate driectory. Note that if you read e-mail using the "POP" protocol, and you do not choose to 'Leave messages on server' (Edit, Mail/News Account Settings), messages you retrieve in Netscape 7.0 will not be downloaded to other mail programs (such as Communicator.)

Once you've installed and launched Netscape 7.0, open the Help menu and choose Help and Support Center. A web page will appear, listing a variety of help topics.

Users of Netscape 7.0 can at any time open the Help menu and choose Feedback Center to fill out a problem report, suggestion form or survey. Netscape values user feedback. Because of the volume of feedback we receive, we will not be able to individually respond to feedback messages.

The installer presents a Setup Type window, where you can choose Recommended, Full, or Custom installation. To choose Custom install, click Custom in the installer window, and then choose the components you wish to install in the Select Components window. The installer downloads only the components you choose.
